Tuesday, November 24th from 1-2:15 PM CT via Zoom. This training is for people with disabilities to understanding speaking up for yourself and knowing how to make informed choices from real life situations, and for providers to support them the best way for each person. Tuesday, December 8th from 1-2:15 PM CT via Zoom. This training is mainly for people with disabilities, advocates, and family members to learn about the importance of advocacy. It will define ableism, give examples of ableism and show how ableism contributes to the stereotypes/labels put on people with disabilities which does not keep people with disabilities safe. I have enjoyed and learned so many things in this training. This was a good opportunity for us to learn new things from experts.
